Our tour of the Golan Heights in Israel covers one of the most fascinating regions of Israel, including Katzrin, Mt. Bental and the border with Jordan and Syria.
We drive north along the coastal road, on route stop at overlook of Megiddo. Drive through the Jordan valley through hills, farmlands, vineyards and look down to see the beautiful scenery of Sea of Galilee. Ascend to Golan Heights passing by Hamat Gader which is famous for its hot springs.
Explore the site excavations of Katzrin, the Talmudic capital of the Golan, that reveal a settlement from the 1st and 4th centuries. Visit the ancient synagogue of Katzrin. The tour continues closer to the Syrian border, Mt. Bental, overlook Kuneitra where Syrian fortifications and bunkers were captured by Israelis in the 1967 Six-Day War. The history of the area will be explained by our certified tour guide, while enjoying the beautiful view.
